IMPORTANT! Recital information

Hi guys!

Our Recital is next week:) . We are so excited to share 30 years with you and show you all our hard work on a professional stage.

 

Parking can be a bit tricky downtown, so check your options before you head Downtown.

 

We have some seats left in all 3 shows.  To fill the theater and to cover the remaining costs of the rental, tickets will be $10 until the day of the show.  The day of the show, tickets will be $20.

 

Please remember, no cameras or video taping during the show. All families will get a DVD of all 3 shows, so sit back and relax. We will also have a photographer at the show on the front row taking pictures of each class. These will be uploaded to a site and you can download them for FREE.  Rose Wagner staff will ask individuals to leave the theater if you are using any recording or photography devices.  Thank you for being respectful to the rules and to the patrons surrounding you. 

 

We will have a backdrop in the Lobby for you to take all the pictures you want!  Make sure you tag us in all your pictures! (Instagram is @elitedancestudioslc)

 

All dancer parents will check their dancer in and out at the dress rehearsal and each show.  All dancers will use the WEST entrance to come for dress rehearsal and each show. A table will be set up for you in the Lobby to check in your dancer. They will then be directed to the Rose Room where they will find the section with a poster of their teachers name and/or photo. This is where you will meet your teacher for your rehearsal and show call times.  If you are in more than one class with different teachers, check in with them both.  Chaperones will be with your dancers in the Rose Room and dressing rooms. Parents aren't allowed in the dressing rooms unless you are a designated chaperone. Please just drop off and pick them up in the Rose room and not linger. Thank you for helping us keep the congestion limited.  

 

Each show is approx 1 hour long. So Moms and Dads, drop your kiddos off and go enjoy the show.  Even the Little's will stay with us until after the show.

 

A few reminders:

-PLEASE no glitter in the venue.  Apply glitter at home or outside.

-All dancers will be in the finale at the end of their show. After you are done performing, dancers will put their recital tees over their costumes and line up for a final bow.  A dancers gift will be given a gift on stage.  Parents can pick up their dancers after the show down in the Rose room.  They will need to be checked out.

-We will acknowledge our 8 graduating Seniors at the end of our 3rd show. If you are a Senior, Please be there:)

-Volunteers-We will send you an individual email on your assignment for the show you volunteered for. Thank you for you help!  If you are still interested in helping us, let us know.   

-There will be tables down in the Rose Room for dancers that bring a snack or if someone brings them lunch/dinner.

-Please put your names on everything!  If it gets lost, we can get it back to you.  We have so many girls with the same items, it helps dancers and us stay organized.

-Just a reminder that all dancers hair is in a bun. Part is your natural part and the bun is on the back of the head.  Hairnets are required.

**IF you are a company dancer that is performing in a Rec class, you need to have a hairnet and bobby pins and quickly put your hair up in a bun for those routines.  Should be simple.

 

DRESS REH CALL TIMES-No parents in the theater during the dress rehearsal.  Costumes need to be worn to dress rehearsal. Hair and make-up is not required at dress rehearsal.  

 

If you are in the first Show, please be to your designated spots in the Rose Room by 8a.m. You will be excused at approx 10. You can go home and get ready and eat, or hang at the theater and get ready for your 12pm Call time. Pick up will be after the finale. Please don't grab your dancer in the hall or lobby while walking back. Come down to the Rose Room.

 

If you are in the second show, please be to your designated spots in the Rose Room by 9a.m. You will be excused at approx 11.  You can go home and get ready and eat, or hang at the theater and get ready for your 2:30p.m. Call time. Pick up will be after the finale. Please don't grab your dancer in the hall or lobby while walking back. Come down to the Rose Room.

 

 

If you are in the third show, please be to your designated spots in the Rose Room by 10a.m. You will be excused at approx 12. You can go home and get ready and eat, or hang at the theater and get ready for your 5:00pm Call time. Pick up will be after the finale. Please don't grab your dancer in the hall or lobby while walking back. Come down to the Rose Room.

 

 

*All Children's Combo classes and Kindergarten-1 level classes, please be to your designated spots in the Rose Room by 10:45am for dress rehearsal . If you are in the first show, you need to come to dress rehearsal ready to perform as you won't have enough time to go get ready before the show starts. If you aren't in the first show, Please be back ready to go one hour before your show time. Pick up will be after the finale. Please don't grab your dancer in the hall or lobby while walking back. Come down to the Rose Room.

 

 

**Company dancers-No dress rehearsal for you.  If we have time at the end of dress rehearsal, we will use the stage.  All company dancers need  to be to the Theater at 11:30a.m. ready to go! If you are a company dancer that is only in the third show, you don't need to come until 4:30pm.  Most company dancers will be there most of the day. We will have tables set up for you to eat downstairs in the rose room. If you choose to go eat somewhere downtown, you need to check out with your company director.

Recital tickets go on sale TOMORROW, April 1st! The link to buying tickets through ArtTix is below. 

 

As many of you know, we usually do our recital at Olympus High School. This year, however, Olympus told us that they only had Memorial Day weekend available. We know this would inconvenience our dancers, and is much later in the year than we usually do our recitals. This is the reason we decided on Rose Wagner. It's our 30th year as a studio, and it'll be so fun for our dancers to perform on such a well-known and popular Utah stage. Because Rose Wagner is smaller, and also so that families didn't have to sit through a 3 hour long show, we did 3 separate shows this year. (see recital packet for more information). We worked as hard as we could to keep families together in one show, but we know that we couldn't get everyone. Because Rose Wagner uses ArtTix, we have no control over the pricing of tickets, however we have worked with them this last week to get a discount for those purchasing multiple tickets to multiple shows. ArtTix has allowed us to give a $2.50 discount per ticket per show. This discount should be automatic when you buy tickets to more than one show.

Another reminder that there are 3 separate shows - one at 1pm, one at 3:30pm, and one at 6:00pm. We sent out which dances would be in which show in the recital packet. You can also view the recital orders on our website - www.elitedanceslc.com/performance-information . Please make sure you are aware of which show you need to buy tickets to. (Note: some of you have reached out to us about costume changes and we have made changes, but know that the dances in each show won't change.)

The Holladay Arts Council has invited our studio as an entre act for the opening concert of their Summer Concert Series.   It’s on Saturday, July 14th.  Dancers need to be there at 6:30p.m.and we will perform from 7:15-7:50p.m. This is located at the Holladay City Building and park area. 

 

We will be performing in front of the outdoor bandstand on the wide stairs and grass areas.  Last year they had at least 400-500 people attending. It’s a really fun outdoor concert series. People bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.


This is a Disney themed performance and all dancers are invited!
